HTML5 Games - Word Poppers and Batty the Ball

As the take-up of HTML5 quickens (74% of users currently have a browser capable of HTML5 Canvas) we present two more games for both your browser and mobile.

Word Poppers is a simple word-based puzzle game.  The objective is to complete the unknown word by clicking on letters that are floating around in bubbles. The web version can be played here, the mobile version is here.

Batty the Ball is a remake of the classic bat and ball games from the '80s.  Move your bat left and right to deflect the ball into the colored blocks, the aim being to destroy them all without losing your three lives.  The web version can be played here, the mobile version is here.

HTML5 iPhone/iPad Game - Nano Tanks

Launched today is the new Nano Tanks game for HTML5 enabled browsers and mobile devices such as the iPhone and iPad.  The tanks have gone mobile!  Nano Tanks is a side-on real-time tank battle. You control the Green tank on the left and must battle the evil dark tanks on the right.

Your standard weapon can be upgraded to rockets if you're lucky enough to find a bonus hidden in one of several explosive barrels.  Features 10 levels to fight your way through!

HTML5 Games - Newspaper Dude and Tiny Defense

Here we are pleased to release 2 HTML5 games written specifically for mobile devices.  First up is Newspaper Dude which targets the iPhone/iPad specifically and also the web.

In Newspaper Dude the aim is to ride your turbo-powered skateboard and deliver newspapers whilst avoiding obstacles in your path. The web version can be played here, the mobile version is here.

Tiny Defense is a simple tower defense with advancing Red creeps that need to be repelled with strategically placed gun turrets.  The web version can be played here, the mobile version is here.

Shapes, Fill Styles and Drop Shadows

Added to the tutorials section are two new tutorials demonstrating how to render basic shapes such as rectangles and circles and also how to fill these shapes with solid color or gradient fill styles.  Also included are drop shadows, these can be applied when rendering images, shapes and text.
