Rich Text Editor

This free Rich Text Editor control takes the standard Liquid RichTextBox and wraps it up with some standard formatting functionality.  This convenient User Control allows you to customize what formatting controls you want to be usable.

Rich Text Editor

The Rich Text Editor is a User Control that resides in the Liquid namespace.  To use it in your own project you need to copy the RichTextEditor files to your Silverlight project.

<UserControl x:Class="RichTextEditor.MainPage"
    xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
    xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
    xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006"
    xmlns:liquid="clr-namespace:Liquid">
  <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot">
    <liquid:RichTextEditor x:Name="richTextEditor" Width="320" Height="150" />
  </Grid>
</UserControl>

using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Linq;
using System.Net;
using System.Windows;
using System.Windows.Controls;
using System.Windows.Documents;
using System.Windows.Input;
using System.Windows.Media;
using System.Windows.Media.Animation;
using System.Windows.Shapes;

namespace RichTextEditor
{
    public partial class MainPage : UserControl
    {
        public MainPage()
        {
            InitializeComponent();

            richTextEditor.Html = "<p>This is some sample <strong>Rich</strong> text.</p>";
        }
    }
}

Here we create an instance of the Rich Text Editor user control and set its initial Html content.  After that the content can be formatted by the user and the resulting Html retrieved from the same property.

Because the Rich Text Editor is supplied as a User Control you are free to modify what formatting options are available to the user.
