How would I inherit RichTextBox into a custom class. Posted: Aug 13, 2010

I am trying to implement some wrapper functionality around the RichTextBox

public class MyRichTextBox : Liquid.RichTextBox

{

}

if this is all I do and reference MyRichTextBox it can't be added to MainPage.xaml.  Like it is added in design view, but in runtime view it does not show up.

However, If i just use Liquid.RichTextbox it works fine.

Hi,

I suspect it is looking for a style that you have not defined yet.  You could try adding the following to the constructor of your custom class which will force the RichTextBox to use the default style:

DefaultStyleKey = typeof(RichTextBox);

Thanks!
