All main menu items are disabled Posted: Sep 09, 2010

Hi and thank you for sharing such a large collection of great controls!

I am trying to use your menu control in my application. It seems straightforward, but I am unable to get the menu items out of a disabled state!

The main menu items appear grey and nothing happens when clicked. I was hoping I am missing something obvious?

Below is a snippet of the code that references your menu contol. Thanks in advance!

<UserControl xmlns:sdk="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation/sdk"               DataContext="{Binding ...}">

    <Controls:BusyIndicator x:Name="busyIndicator" IsBusy="{Binding IsBusy}" DisplayAfter="0">

                <RowDefinition Height="25"/>

                <RowDefinition/>

            <Canvas Grid.Row="0" >

                        <Liquid:MainMenuItem Text="File">

RE: All main menu items are disabled Posted: Sep 16, 2010

Hi,

I have copied your code and run the project.  The main menu items appear to be hoverable/selectable, however the menu is being cut off due to the Canvas the menu is inside is contained within a grid row with a fixed height of 25px. Due to the menu rendering like any other Silverlight UI element, what you need to do is overlay the canvas ontop of the whole grid this will allow the sub menus to be displayed.

Thanks!
